Commonly known in English as the Temple of Emerald Buddha, the temple located within the grounds of the Grand Palace it is regarded as the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand and it enshrines the highly revered Buddha image meticulously carved from a single block of jade. There are so many beautiful intricate details and ornaments but you should know it’s extremely crowded. I didn’t quite enjoy the experience itself because of the heat and crowds but it’s a must visit when in Bangkok. Note: Be aware you’d need to wear long items of clothing (covering shoulders and below the knees)

The most beautiful temple in Bangkok. The beautiful architecture and peaceful vibes are worth it. It is part of the same tour as grand palace. The ticket is 500 baht per person. Make sure to be in proper attire specifically women. It is not allowed to take pictures inside the temple. The temple is made of pure gold and the statue is of emerald. You can sit inside the temple and feel the peace and calmness.

This was my first time to enter this temple. It was a ery interesting building and very ornate. It made you feel very small and insignificant. The inside it covered in gold and beautiful art on the walls, ceilings and floors. It is a very interesting site to see and I definitely recommend visiting this while taking a tour of the palace.

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is located in the Grand Palace itself. This huge temple consist of different buildings which serves different purposes. There is free guided tours, guidebook in various languages as well. There is some restoration works ongoing during my visit so I couldn't get to see part of the temple. But still, its worthwhile if you wanna get a feeling of the Thai buddhism culture.
