The aroma of spices is amazing as you enter this market that has been standing so many years. A great number of vendors to choose from, the only problem is that they don't tell you the price per kg till they have packed up and prepared everything, at that time, it's too late to ask them to take some out! Negotiate the price upfront and don't let them tell you, you'll talk about it later!!!

The Egyptian Bazaar, also known as the Spice Bazaar, is a fun place to visit with lots of sights and sounds. It was cleaner and more organized than I expected. Our experience was exceptionally good. The vibrant colors and intoxicating scents were mesmerizing. We loved the colorful spices, dried flower teas, olives, nougats, and Turkish delight. The arched buildings reminded us of cathedrals. The shopkeepers were not pushy, only offering samples of nougat and Turkish delight.

Love this place, so many spices, teas, sweets, nuts and souvenirs. Asked around for some red pepper and teas till I found I good price and then bargain a bit for a discount. Well organized with kind and honest people.

The Egyptian Bazaar is one of the main tourist attractions in Istanbul. Is the Spice Market worth visiting? - Definitely yes! Not only satisfy your craving for the exotic, but also get the opportunity to see and experience the traditional commercial life of Istanbul - the Istanbul Spice Bazaar! A visit to the Egyptian Spice Market, which brings to life the romance of Westerners seeking to find the East, is truly one such experience.

The spice (Egyptian) bazaar is similar to the grand bazaar, except it features a lot more in the perishable/consumable department and is much smaller, but equally as vibrant and charming. It’s obviously easier to navigate and has a lot of outside shops that I would highly recommend visiting as well!
