Mesmerizing! Honestly it felt so crazy to actually be in Vatican City at St.Peters Basilica. Most people have only seen this on tv or in photos and I was fortunate enough to see this in person. Absolutely blown away by the architecture and the artwork. Literally a work of art. It was amazing to see it all and to actually be there while a service was ongoing. We climbed to the top of then dome as well. The view was definitely worth it! And everyone should experience the climb. It’s pretty fun and worthwhile! And I would recommend doing a guided tour with skip the line access because the lines are absolutely ridiculous!!

Vatican City, the smallest independent state in the world, is a spiritual and administrative center of the Roman Catholic Church. Nestled within Rome, it is home to stunning art, architecture, and history. The Vatican Museums house some of the most renowned masterpieces, including Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling, which attracts millions of visitors each year. St. Peter's Basilica, with its magnificent dome designed by Michelangelo, is a significant pilgrimage site and a symbol of Christian faith. The Vatican's gardens offer a serene escape, showcasing beautiful landscapes and ancient trees. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, Vatican City is not only a religious hub but also a treasure trove of cultural heritage, reflecting centuries of artistic achievement.

Can’t even begin to describe the beauty of this place. We had goosebumps and tingles as soon as we entered this magical haven. The art, craftsmanship and design of this place is INCREDIBLE. Not to be missed. But get there early! The security line was only 15-20 minutes long at 7.45am during peak season. By the time we left at 9.30am the line was easily over 1 hour long and scorching hot. Unfortunately the altar was getting renovated while we were here, but is absolutely worth it!!! Note that by the time we walked over to the Sistine chapel the line was so long and we were approached by so many of those tourist touts, it put us off completely and we didn’t end up visiting it. Worth getting a ticket for online to skip the queue for Sistine for €20 but we missed out.

Absolutely incredible place, The biggest Church in the World. My children loved it, you must cover up when entering Bascilla, as it's a Holy area, Women must cover their arms and knees and men no vests and shorts above the knee, otherwise they will make you wear a shawl or make you buy one from the nearest shop. Literally "when in Rome"!!!! Definitely recommend a early tour guide, as by 12pm it's packed and you can hardly move around comfortably. Recommend to climb the Dome, the view is phenomenal, wear comfortable shoes.

Visiting St. Peter's Square was a mesmerizing experience. The sheer grandeur of the space, with its magnificent colonnades designed by Bernini, left me in awe. The atmosphere was vibrant yet serene. Watching the light play off the majestic facade of St. Peter's Basilica was breathtaking. It’s a must-visit, whether you’re there for the religious significance or just to soak in the architectural splendor.
